Chicken Out!

Happy New Year from everyone at Chicken Out! and Compassion in World Farming.

We hope you enjoyed the festivities and are ready to join us in another year of passionate campaigning for chickens.

Last year saw our campaign grow to over 167,800 supporters and notch up some key victories for chicken welfare. But our resolution for 2010 is to achieve even more, and over the coming months we’ll be in touch to let you know how you can get involved in growing the campaign and making a real impact.

Please click this link to subscribe to our ongoing emails and ensure you keep up to date on the campaign.

Happy New Year!

As we enter 2010, my friends at Compassion and I have ambitious plans for taking Chicken Out! to the next level. Together, we are moving closer to a free-range future.

Thanks for your ongoing support.

Hugh

200,000 supporters by the spring

It’s not that far off – we already have nearly 168,000 supporters – but we need your help to grow our campaign so that we have an even stronger voice with politicians and decision-makers.

How hard can it be? If every one of our existing supporters encouraged another person to join us, we’d have a movement of over 335,000 – so let’s work towards a milestone of 200,000 by the spring…

Tell your friends about us and win signed Hugh goodies

Spread the word by emailing your friends about the Chicken Out! campaign – everyone who does will be entered into a draw to win a signed River Cottage diary – we have 8 to give away:

Tell us your story

What have you got up to over the last year to make a difference for chickens? Whether it’s the unusual ways you’ve gone about persuading friends and family to go free-range or the lengths you’ve gone to in lobbying your local MP, store manager or restaurant, inspire us with your stories and we’ll publish a selection of them on our website. Our favourite story will also win a signed copy of Hugh’s new book, River Cottage Every Day.

Thanks for your support and here’s to a compassionate 2010!
